Pengembangan Teknik Manipulation Fabric Berbasis Heat Treatment pada Multifunction Fashion

Abstract

Teknik manipulation fabric merupakan salah satu inovasi dalam desain fashion yang mampu meningkatkan nilai estetika dan diferensiasi produk. Namun, penerapan teknik heat treatment sebagai metode manipulation fabric pada kain sintetis masih terbatas, khususnya dalam pendidikan vokasi fashion di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan teknik manipulation fabric berbasis heat treatment pada organza sintetis yang diterapkan pada multifunction fashion. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) melalui tahapan studi literatur, identifikasi kebutuhan, eksplorasi heat treatment, pengembangan desain, pembuatan prototipe, validasi ahli, revisi produk, dan uji respons pengguna. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tiga validator ahli dan 30 responden Generasi Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organza sintetis menghasilkan tekstur permanen menyerupai morfologi terumbu karang dengan karakteristik visual yang unik dan sesuai diterapkan pada produk multifunction fashion. Validasi ahli memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,61 (kategori Sangat Baik), sedangkan seluruh instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid dengan koefisien korelasi 0,406–0,800 dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,951. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik heat treatment berpotensi menjadi inovasi dalam pengembangan produk multifunction fashion yang estetis, fungsional, serta mendukung pembelajaran dan pengembangan desain fashion berkelanjutan.
