Abstract

Perubahan paradigma pembelajaran abad ke-21 menuntut guru mengembangkan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pemahaman mendalam, bukan sekadar penyampaian materi. Salah satu pendekatan yang mendukung transformasi tersebut adalah Understanding by Design (UbD) melalui prinsip Backward Design. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pemahaman calon guru matematika terhadap kerangka kerja UbD serta mengidentifikasi pengalaman dan tantangan dalam perubahan pola pikir menuju perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis tujuan dan bukti belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengikuti kerangka PRISMA. Literatur diperoleh dari database Scopus dan Google Scholar pada periode 2017–2026, kemudian diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi sehingga diperoleh 13 artikel untuk dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UbD membantu calon guru memahami hubungan antara tujuan pembelajaran, asesmen, dan aktivitas pembelajaran yang selaras. Namun, tantangan masih ditemukan dalam merancang asesmen autentik dan mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Secara keseluruhan, UbD berpotensi memperkuat kompetensi pedagogik calon guru matematika dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna dan berpusat pada siswa.
