Hubungan Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan Regulasi Emosi dengan Kecemasan pada Gen Z Pengguna Media Sosial

Meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial pada Generasi Z berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan psikologis, khususnya Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan kecemasan. Regulasi emosi diduga menjadi salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi hubungan antara FoMO dan kecemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dan regulasi emosi dengan kecemasan pada Generasi Z pengguna media sosial. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional yang melibatkan 366 responden Generasi Z kelahiran tahun 1997–2012. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara daring dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Jamovi melalui analisis deskriptif, uji korelasi Spearman, dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa FoMO berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan kecemasan (ρ = 0,352; p < 0,001), sedangkan regulasi emosi berhubungan negatif dan signifikan dengan kecemasan (ρ = −0,291; p < 0,001). Selain itu, FoMO juga berhubungan negatif dengan regulasi emosi (ρ = −0,249; p < 0,001). Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa FoMO dan regulasi emosi secara bersama-sama menjelaskan 15,5% variasi kecemasan (R² = 0,155). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan regulasi emosi dan penggunaan media sosial yang lebih sehat berpotensi membantu menurunkan tingkat kecemasan pada Generasi Z.
