Kajian Filsafat Tubuh dalam Praktik Yoga Modern: Perspektif Humaniora dan Ilmu Fisiologi Olahraga

Yoga, yang berakar dari filsafat India kuno, telah berkembang menjadi praktik global yang tidak hanya berfokus pada dimensi spiritual, tetapi juga pada peningkatan kesehatan fisik dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara filsafat tubuh dalam tradisi Yoga dengan temuan-temuan ilmiah modern dalam fisiologi olahraga. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan mengkaji teks-teks klasik seperti Yoga Sutra Patanjali dan membandingkannya dengan hasil penelitian fisiologis kontemporer yang menjelaskan efek Yoga terhadap sistem saraf, keseimbangan hormon, dan fungsi kardiovaskular. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa konsep union (kesatuan tubuh, pikiran, dan jiwa) dalam filsafat Yoga berkorespondensi dengan prinsip homeostasis dan keseimbangan sistem endokrin yang ditemukan dalam ilmu fisiologi modern. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Yoga bukan hanya praktik spiritual, tetapi juga mekanisme biologis yang mendukung adaptasi tubuh terhadap stres dan peningkatan kapasitas fungsional. Artikel ini memberikan dasar konseptual bagi integrasi pendekatan humaniora dan sains olahraga dalam memahami makna tubuh manusia secara holistik.
