Abstract

Desa Kualu Nenas merupakan salah satu sentra produksi nanas di Kabupaten Kampar, tetapi kulit nanas dari kegiatan konsumsi dan pengolahan belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai hipertensi serta memperkenalkan pengolahan kulit nanas menjadi teh herbal berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 3 Agustus 2023 di Aula Kantor Desa Kualu Nenas dan diikuti oleh 70 peserta, terdiri atas 60 perempuan dan 10 laki-laki. Metode kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi pembuatan Herjakunas Tea dari campuran serbuk kulit nanas dan jahe merah, serta evaluasi pengetahuan menggunakan kuesioner pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan persentase jawaban yang sesuai. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan pada seluruh kelompok peserta dengan rentang 1,37–24,27 poin persentase. Skor peserta perempuan meningkat dari 66,80% menjadi 76,80%, sedangkan peserta laki-laki meningkat dari 63,33% menjadi 75,83%. Peningkatan tertinggi berdasarkan wilayah terdapat pada Dusun 4 sebesar 23,25 poin persentase, sedangkan berdasarkan pendidikan terdapat pada kelompok SMA sebesar 24,27 poin persentase. Penyuluhan yang dipadukan dengan demonstrasi praktis diikuti oleh peningkatan deskriptif persentase respons peserta sekaligus memperkenalkan pemanfaatan limbah kulit nanas.
