Family Education As A Strategic Basis For The Formation Of Socio-Cultural Character of The Young Generation in The Era of Modern Social Change

Family education has a very important role in shaping the socio-cultural character of individuals from an early age. The family is the first and foremost educational environment that provides the basis for values, norms, and patterns of social behavior that will affect the life of individuals in the future. This article aims to examine the role of family education as the basis for the formation of socio-cultural character and the challenges faced in the context of social change in modern society. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method on various scientific sources in the form of relevant books and journal articles. The results of the study show that family education plays a strategic role in instilling social values such as responsibility, tolerance, discipline, and social concern, as well as cultural values related to local identity and wisdom. However, the development of globalization and digital technology poses new challenges in the family education process. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the family so that it can remain the main foundation in the formation of the socio-cultural character of the younger generation.

Visionary Leadership of School Principals in Building Teacher Discipline in Vocational High Schools in Gowa Regency

This study aims to gain a deep understanding of how principals formulate, communicate, and implement their leadership vision in school management practices, particularly in relation to teacher discipline. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, involving the principal, vice principal, and teachers as informants. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the principal's visionary leadership is reflected in the principal's ability to clearly and consistently explain the school's vision to all school members, exemplify it in daily leadership behavior, and develop the vision in accordance with the school's needs and challenges. This visionary leadership positively contributes to improved teacher discipline, demonstrated through adherence to school rules, punctuality in carrying out tasks, and increased professional responsibility. This study concludes that the principal's visionary leadership plays a strategic role in shaping a culture of teacher discipline in vocational high schools.

Pengaruh Pemakaian Kekasaran Permukan Logam dan Tanpa Kekasaran Dengan Variasi Jenis Adhesive (Bahan Perekat) Terhadap Kekuatan Tarik-Geser Pada Logam Aluminium 6061

Penggunaan sambungan adhesive pada material aluminium semakin berkembang sebagai alternatif sambungan mekanis karena keunggulannya dalam distribusi tegangan, efisiensi berat, dan kemudahan proses fabrikasi. Namun, kekuatan sambungan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi permukaan dan jenis adhesive yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kekasaran permukaan logam dan variasi jenis adhesive terhadap kekuatan tarik–geser sambungan aluminium 6061. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan menggunakan spesimen sambungan single lap joint sesuai standar ASTM D5868-95. Variasi yang digunakan meliputi permukaan dengan kekasaran dan tanpa kekasaran, serta tiga jenis adhesive, yaitu epoksi, polyester, dan lem kuning. Pengujian tarik–geser dilakukan menggunakan Universal Testing Machine untuk memperoleh nilai kekuatan maksimum sambungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adhesive epoksi menghasilkan kekuatan tarik–geser tertinggi, khususnya pada permukaan yang dikasarkan, akibat kombinasi ikatan kimia yang kuat dan efek interlocking mekanis. Polyester menunjukkan kekuatan menengah, sedangkan lem kuning memberikan kekuatan terendah dan kurang sesuai untuk aplikasi struktural. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa pemilihan jenis adhesive dan perlakuan kekasaran permukaan merupakan faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan performa sambungan aluminium pada aplikasi teknik.

Application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Pest and Plant Disease Control: A Systematic Review and Analysis of Technology Trends

Pests and plant diseases pose a serious threat to global agricultural productivity that can cause crop losses of up to 40%. Internet of Things (IoT) technology is emerging as an innovative solution to improve the effectiveness of pest and disease control through real-time monitoring, early detection, and timely intervention. This study aims to analyze the implementation of IoT technology in pest and plant disease control through a systematic review approach of 12 scientific journals for the 2020-2025 period. The method used is a systematic literature review with the PRISMA protocol to identify, evaluate, and synthesize related research findings. The results of the analysis show that the integration of IoT with supporting technologies such as UAVs, computer vision, and blockchain creates a comprehensive pest control ecosystem. IoT sensors are capable of monitoring microclimate parameters (temperature 14-16°C increases the risk of powdery mildew), while thermal cameras achieve 92% detection accuracy. IoT systems have also been successfully applied to various commodities (rice, tomatoes, cucumbers) with a combination of ozone and light traps to minimize the use of chemical pesticides. Key implementation challenges include energy consumption, data security, system interoperability, and initial investment costs. The study concludes that IoT technology has great potential to transform pest control practices towards more efficient and environmentally friendly sustainable agriculture.
